The flow tubes (104 of them) are connected for insulation so that they stay warm longer. This patented design also allows our panels to withstand freezing conditions better than collectors with round flow tubes that cannot expand or change shape.
SolarSun collectors contain 35% more polypropylene and UV stabilizers than any other panel. This means that our panels have a much longer life expectancy than the competition. In fact, our panels are so well built that they can withstand the strength of a 150 mph hurricane.

BEST OF ALL...these systems are very easy to install so you can do it yourself. We will provide you with a step by step instruction manual.* If you have a tile roof and you purchase from us, be sure to let us know so that we can send you our Tile Mounting Recommendations. We can also provide you with a rack design. Our panels come in 3 standard sizes 4'x12', 4'x10', 4'x8' in both 2" and 1.5" headers. We also customize panels any size up to 4'x20' with either 2 foot or 4 foot headers (please email us for more info on other sizes and prices. Please also note that customization could normally add 5-10 business days to delivery).
HOW IT WORKS
- Pool pump moves the water to the solar collectors
- Cool water enters the solar collector from the bottom.
- Water is heated as it flows upwards through the collector tubes to the top header pipe.
- The warm water is then returned to your pool.
- This process continues until the desired water temperature is reached.
Our pool panels come in two header sizes and three standard lengths. Once you purchase your system from us we will send you warranty info, a manual and certifications if desired.
The panels are very easy to install and you can do it yourself in 2-3 days. You can either install them on your roof or build a rack. We can also send you a design for building a rack. Just let us know.
If you would rather have professional installation, then we can give you some local recommendations as well.
BASIC Required Products for One Pool System:
1. Panels
2. One collector kit for each panel
3. One system kit for each system
4. One split kit system for each row of panels as well as for extending headers in case there is a vent between panels
5. At least two check valves (one to prevent back wash into your filter, another on the return line to your pool. You may in addition decide to get ball valves for isolation - see manual)
6. One vacuum relief valve normally placed at the highest point above your feed line)
7. Enough strapping for three rows to hold the panels down
8. Automatic control system if you desire an automation or a 3 way valve for manual use.
